Steven Spielberg's hand analysis

Steven Spielberg speaking at a podium
If I had not known that Steven Spielberg was a film director I just might have mistaken him for an inventor, although a money-making one. His fingers, headline, fingertips, phalanges, and Upper Mount of Moon reveal his imagination, creativity, intelligence and a strong desire for worldly success.

Spielberg was not born this ingenious. Although he inherited a high intelligence, he had an average
imagination, a slightly morbid one at that.

It's by comparing the passive hand which tells you about your inherited or subconscious qualities, with the active hand, which tells you about who you are today, that one can find out how the person has changed. Spielberg’s imagination and creativity increased significantly as he grew older. This happens when a person exercises and uses his imaginative faculties constantly when one is young. Interestingly, he developed the healthy and creative side of his imagination to its fullest extent, although the morbid side remained with him as did his high intelligence.

The headline on his right active hand is slightly more curved than the one on his left, passive hand. The Upper Mount of Moon is also far more developed. Check out his right hand photograph here and both his hands here

The lines on both his hand are very fine and long, and not curved. However, they are so fine that they are not clearly visible. On the passive hand, the headline goes right across the hand, but this is not so on the right, active hand. His hand has a rectangular palm which is quite broad, and the fingers are a bit short and slightly thick, with a few square tips and a few with rounded tips. The Mercury (little) finger seems long and the Apollo (ring) finger is the dominant finger on his hand. The Venus, Moon and Jupiter mounts are well developed. The first phalanges are not too long, like one would have expected.

Spielberg has the kind of vivid imagination and creativity that successful composers and writers possess. He is an original thinker as well but he is more of a doer, and down to earth.

Verbosity is not his thing. Thus, it is natural that he would channel his imagination into another creative field. He turned to making up stories on celluloid.

He has a preference for facts rather than fancy and a blunt straightforward approach. Mushy films are not his forte. He also has a breadth of vision. People like him always see the whole picture and that too from several perspectives, and this is an excellent quality in a filmmaker. He is also quick-thinking and has the ability to see the whole picture. He is result-oriented, and when he hears of an idea he immediately wants to get to the point, and wants to know if it is workable and if there is money in it or not. He tends to think big.

Like so many famous people, he is a risk-taker and desires fame and a name. This could be one of the things that drive him to achieve. But more than this, he is a creator and creation is his first love.

On a personal level, he likes to enjoy life and enjoys its comforts. He is straightforward, although can be quite aggressive and blunt.

  2. Yep, I quite love his work! His early movies (Back to the Future) are my favourites. At times I really wish I could get a good look at the lines on the hands!
