Baba Ramdev's hand reading

A personality characteristic evident from Swami Ramdev’s hands is his strong desire to be in the limelight. Fame and renown have always been his driving forces and still are.

Interestingly, there have been significant changes in his personality over the years. This usually means that the person has changed the course of his own destiny and carved out his/her own path. This usually happens either because of circumstances and/or because the person has made a conscious effort to change himself. Baba Ramdev's desire for fame along with slight selfishness was always present in his character, but a facet of his personality that has developed
is his business acumen. It was always there, but it has been enhanced, shown by the changes in the phalanges of his Apollo (ring) and Mercury (little/pinky) fingers (the right hand of a right-handed person reveals the current personality and the left the inherited qualities/the past, the subconscious).

Check out a hand photo of his here and here and here. You will notice the differences between the right (active) hand and the left (passive) hand.

On his right, Baba Ramdev has a large, slightly fleshy palm and fleshy fingers, a long headline going almost till the percussion (edge of hand) and a good thumb (with a strong will phalange) which is held close to his hand, although the fingers are held apart. His fingers are a good length and conic-tipped. The little finger is long and the Jupiter (index) finger could be a little on the shorter side. His Moon and Venus mounts are developed. The headline is shorter on the passive hand, and the Jupiter (index) finger is shorter and appears to have a pointed tip. The thumb on the left, passive hand is held closer to the hand and the middle phalanges appear to be shorter.

The hands appear to be a little stiff, with a slightly coarse hand texture.

Ramdevji honed a talent to perfection and then made money out of it. In the process, his basic personality underwent a transformation. Even the Swami's intelligence increased over the years. This is not so common in any hand. You will find people who let their inherited intelligence and talent rust, but in Baba Ramdev’s case, it is just the opposite. An achievement indeed, made possible due to inherent ambition and his own hard work and drive.

Whether or not Baba Ramdev would have achieved his ambition of becoming a great yogi if he had not developed marketing and business abilities one cannot say.

There have been other changes in his personality which can be seen by comparing his left (passive) hand to the right (active hand). He learnt to keep his own counsel. He was an open person earlier. People who bare their hearts to others are usually trusted more. Openness, however, is not a quality that sits well with a person with material ambitions.

Baba Ramdev was born with strong and intense ideals, but these have been diluted. In an average person, a small amount of idealism heavily dosed with practicality is an excellent sign as it helps him/her make money and live happily in the material and practical world. In a Swami one is not sure if materialism over idealism is a desirable trait.

Asceticism in Hinduism has been associated with being a true sage, but this quality is not developed in Baba Ramdev, although it is important to mention that even today his desires for the physical comforts of life are far less than that of the average person.

The headline gives us an explanation as to why some of his intrinsic values changed. While the line shows intelligence, it does not show steadiness of ideas. It shows instead a person who will change his stance towards important issues after a lapse of time, however rigid he may seem at that point. It is as if his inner core is not solid.

Other qualities
One of his drawbacks is that he has some traditional and old-fashioned ideas and tends to be conservative.

The shape of his hand shows that he is a thoughtful man who likes to get into the details, but at times could miss the wood for the trees. He will be particular about how people speak and behave. He is sensitive and careful with the way he spends money.

A good man
All this does not mean that Swami is a bad person. On the contrary, he is a good man, upright and talented. He has not just business acumen, but also an extraordinary/brilliant talent/skill which he has developed by the dint of his own merit and hard work. His imagination is an asset to him.

He has warmth and love in him, as well as compassion. This adds to his charisma. However, often, he tends to rely on his heart rather than his head.

Swami Ramdev calls himself  "His Holiness Swami Ramdevji Maharaj" but whether he deserves that title or not is not for me to say. All that his hands show is that he is a talented and savvy businessman who has love to give to people.

  1. This is interesting, the way you have shown how he has changed. This confirms my belief that we can be whoever we want to be. We just need the determination.
About Ramdev, I think it is possible that he might have been famous anyway, without his business techniques. I wonder if he might change again as he grows older? Is it possible?

  2. Anonymous, yes I too believe that our destiny is in our hands. We always choose to be who we are, successful or unsuccessful. And yes it is possible that he might alter his life later, change his ideas. His head line shows that he will not stick to a fixed path. As I cannot see his other lines in the photos I cannot say what the outcome of his life will be.

  3. Hi Nita, so it looks like he is a genuine person! Somehow, I had the feeling that he was another con-man...

    Thanks,

  4. wishtobeanon, well his talent and skills are superior, no doubt about that. But as to whether he is a conman or not, well I don't know about his medicines and other products that he sells. Aren't all marketers conmen to some extent? What is clear however is that he is not a godman, but then he doesn't claim to be.

  5. Hi Nita, I recently discovered your website and love your analysis of various spiritual leaders and celebs. Can you please read Swami Nithyananda's hand (if you can find a picture of it) He has recently come in cloud with sex scandals. It would be interesting to see what you pick up from his hand.

    thank you,
    Kannan

  6. Kannan, thanks. Swami Nithyananda sounds interesting indeed and I shall check the internet for a decent photo of his hand. If I don't get a good one, maybe I can do a brief reading. Lets see.

  7. r/madam,
it is very good.BUT ALL WE ARE DOING IS ONLY TO KNOW TRAND OF MIND OR NATURE OF WORKING.
WE ARE LACKING IN TO KNOW FUTURE.WHAT IS FINAL DESTINY? FOR WHAT WE COME TO THIS WORLD?WHAT IS OUR FUTURE?WE CANNOT KNOW FUTURE EVENTS!
PLEASE COMMENTS.CAN WE KNOW IN VERY EARLY AGES WHO WILL BE WE & OUR LIFE EVENTS.CAN WE KNOW THE STATUS OF THE PERSON? PL COMMENTS

  8. Anonymous, we cannot know future events with certainty. However future trends can be determined if lines on the palm are clearly visible. So the answer to your question is YES, we can know the future, but this future is like clay. We can shape it. We can change it. Lines change if we change. If we simply allow things to happen to us, if we allow so-called "fate" to take over our lives, then our lines do not change and such people meet their "destiny."

  9. thanks nita.
CAN WE DECIDE STATUS OF PERSON? MAGNITUDE OF WEALTH?OVERALL LIFE COURSE WELL IN ADVANCE?CAN WE KNOW IF THE IDENTITY BE KEPT HIDDEN THEN CAN WE SAY WITH CERTINITY THAT RAHUL GANGHI IS FUTURE PRIME MINISTER?

  10. Anonymous, the hand tells you everything in relation to your own self. So if a person thinks he is wealthy, his hand will show wealth. About the future I have already explained. About whether Rahul Gandhi will become PM, it can be told from studying his lines. A hundred percent certainty is never present.

  11. I think it is possible to make predictions with close to 100% perfection, we just don't know how to do so. It is not palmistry which has it's limitations, its we who knows only so much and that's why we are not close to cent percent accuracy.

The current state of palmistry is more or less like that of trigonometry and calculus 2000 years ago. Mathematicians & astronomers were getting wrong results because many rules of math were not discovered.

Over the time, the palmistry will evolve to much more accurate, but likely we all will be gone much before then.

  12. Anonymous, Palmistry even today can make predictions with 100% accuracy! However, there is a catch. People change! Therefore however accurate palmistry is, the predictions may not come true. I think palmistry is already quite evolved, the problem is that no one has made scientific experiments to try and prove the various tenets of palmistry. And this cannot really happen with accuracy as palmistry is partly an art, and partly a science. The principles of palmistry do not change, but the practice of palmistry depends a great deal on the practitioner as interpreting the hand means taking several contradictory signs into account and then making a diagnosis.
However, there are those who believe in "fate" or "destiny" and they will always believe that predictions can come true with 100% accuracy. It is usually difficult to convince them that character is destiny.

  14. The last paragraph summarizes his character very well... I think anybody who is famous needs to have marketed themselves well... Also, the opening statement of wanting to be in the limelight perhaps has become his weakness, which was exposed - going by the recent events!

  15. Absolutely. Everything I have said has been corroborated by events.
Also, in my reading of Imran Khan's hand I have said he likes fame and attention. And recent events, where he has taken up a cause for under 25 drinkers show this. It's a quick way of garnering fame and Imran is in a hurry.

  16. nita ji......

you havent said anything about the future of his party bharat swabhiman.will it come into power??can u say anything about this by reading his hand.

he wants his party to come into power so tht he can make some important changes like..
abolishing the land acquisition act(farmers r tortured badly using this act),
right to do higher study in Indian languages..none of the developed countries forced their people to do higher studies only in english..
n there r several other things which he wants to do, which the ruling party is not intrested to do.

  17. riya, unfortunately I do not have a complete print of his hand which shows the lines. Unless I see the lines on the hand I cannot say whether his ambitions will be fulfilled.

  18. Hey Nita,
I am one of the people who really admire Baba Ramdev. But just like you and most other people earlier i use to think very low of him because I didnt knew him well.
Then I came across some of his interviews and other things involving him recently & thru that his ideas.
I tell you what hes a person who has got deep love for his country and countrymen & one who is religious & has genuine ideals and all his actions are primarily driven out of that. Definately he wants to be a hero. But that is perfectly Ok. However claiming that he is driven out of a desire to stay in limlight, I strongly condemn that. Moreover hes more looked down upon is because things havent been going his way as far as the movements are concerned & he hasnt been able to bring any effective change, the kind was desired.

Most of the people blame him saying that hes very rich, he has got his own business bla bla...But the thing is hes not making money by manufacturing steel or selling branded clothes & more importantly hes not using that money for his own good. His business is abt Ayurvedic medicines and other 'Indigenous products for all kind of needs' (Made in India) & thats the main agenda.

You mentioned as his drawbacks : that he has some traditional and old fashioned ideas and tends to be conservative -
I think ideas should be categorized as either right or wrong , the ideas that you have described as 'old fashioned or traditional' were brought into existince definately after thought by our ancestors for good only......

  19. I read the hand as I see it. I never get into a discussion as to people's opinions of Baba Ramdev or any other famous person because people have polarized views. People have very strong negative views of Ramdev I agree but you are mistaken if you think I have them. I have no opinion of him at all.
