Claudia Sheinbaum shines amongst her peers

It’s a relief to see the hands of a famous person and find out that the person deserves to be famous. Claudia Sheinbaum's hands tell us of a person who is mentally balanced, has a good heart, is intelligent and capable and is...well…just a normal human being! Decent and kind like all human beings should be. She is of course more than just this.

Claudia has a hand which is of a good size, and it has a refined texture, a broad palm and medium length fingers with a mix of conic and rounded tips. The thumb is a good length with its first and second phalanges well balanced with each other and the second phalange is slim as well. The lines on her palm are fine and the head and heart lines are of medium length. The headline slopes a little and the heart line curves somewhat. The lifeline, though closer to the thumb in the first half, goes outwards as it progresses.

Claudia's Apollo (ring) finger is long, and

Benjamin Netanyahu – strong but changeable

Benjamin Netanyahu, popularly known as Bibi, the current Prime Minister of Israel, doesn’t have an ordinary hand. His character as revealed by his hands, is shown as strong and ambitious, with a personality which is action-oriented, street-smart and aggressive. His hand also shows Netanyahu as someone with strong emotions and also someone who is impressionable, idealistic and has great communication skills. Impressive as it seems, Netanyahu is a complex human being and has weaknesses in his character.

If one examines his hand features, what is striking are the long,

The charismatic John F Kennedy

John F Kennedy graphic
President John F Kennedy was assassinated at 46 and ever since then, he has become a legend almost, as he impacted the minds of Americans in a way no President before him ever had or ever will. The famous words that inspired generations were: “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”

Can the hand reveal what was so special about JFK, besides his oratory? Does he deserve the reverence that he received from the American people or did he become a part of American folklore because of the tragic and senseless manner in which he died?

JFK has a good hand, and when compared to other great leaders, his hand seems a little different, and better. Of course, there can be varied opinions as to what constitutes a “better” hand, or rather, what the most desirable characteristics are in a leader. You can decide for yourself as you read on.

Rishi Sunak - a good Prime Minister or not?

There is no doubt that Rishi Sunak’s hands show that he is smart, sensible, emotionally stable and has common sense. He came to power as the Prime Minister of Britain in unusual circumstances, but now the question is whether he will do a good job and manage to steer Britain out of the problems it is in currently.

He is certainly capable of it, if one goes by his hands. He has a large hand with clear lines, the fingers are of medium length and held apart, and the palm is broad. He has rounded tips to his fingers and the first phalanges of the fingers are long, except on his Jupiter (index) finger. He does appear to have a slightly short Jupiter finger and the Mercury (little) finger is low-set although it is long. Although the mounts on his hand are developed, they are not excessively developed. The heart and head lines are balanced with each other, even if the headline is a little high and not absolutely straight. The head and life lines are joined with each other considerably before separating.

Rishi Sunak has been compared to Barack Obama, and sure, there are some similarities in their hands in the sense that they both have large hands and clear lines. But the similarity ends there. In reality, they are both

Shehbaz Sharif - Businessman and Politician

Shehbaz Sharif
Shehbaz Sharif is a smart man, a capable personality, with great communication ability, which includes non-verbal communication. Such people are good at reading others, and yes, are able to get things out of them. Sharif is shrewd, and eloquent, with a good understanding of how money works. It is not surprising that this man has succeeded in both politics and business.

His hand has fingers which are on the shorter side, and a palm which is slightly longish, but not too long. His mounts are overall developed, except for perhaps the Saturn mount. It is not that common to find the Apollo mount developed, and it is so in his case. Sharif has a good Saturn (Fate) line as well, which starts at the base of the hand and goes up to the mount which shows

Volodymyr Zelensky - an actor and a politician

Volodymyr Zelensky folded arms
You might think that actors and comedians shouldn’t become politicians because they aren't suited for politics…but don’t be too sure. Actors have always dabbled in politics in many countries including America and India, and of course…Ukraine.

To say that actors make good politicians would be stretching it…but to say that some qualities that actors possess could make politicians very successful – that’s likely. For example, charisma and a desire for fame and name and of course…acting ability. Politicians wear a mask – they have to. It’s in the very nature of their job.

To be fair, Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine's President, is more than just an actor. His hand

Mao Zedong –Wise or Wicked?

Mao Zedong, also known as Chairman Mao, is a famous historical figure, but controversial. He is revered in China by many, but there are those who want him to be held responsible for human rights abuses.

What does his hand tell us about this man, who has been hailed as a hero? He was the founding father of the People's Republic of China (PRC), which he ruled from 1949 until his death in 1976. No one can deny that he ruled with an iron hand but was Mao a great wise man as well, as some people firmly believe?

Saddam Hussein's hand – does it show that he was evil?

One assumes that the hands of men known for their evil deeds will show a hand with an evil personality. People do evil deeds but there is no hand which is evil per se. If one comes across a person who does bad things, the hands usually show a selfish, out-of-control personality, someone with a brute will and strong impulses. People are not usually heartless. They are just out of control.

Saddam Hussein speaking

There are several hand readings of dictators on this website, and each of these characters tend to be different from each other although almost all of them have a base, primal side to their nature. What this means is that the instincts prevail and dominate and these people give in to these primal instincts. You will find such people in everyday life as well and they usually land up in prison if the country they live in is not lawless. If people of this type come to power, as they do in weak countries, they will destroy the very fabric of society, cloaking their criminal behaviour in either religious or political ideology.

Saddam’s Hussein’s hand shows the base of the hand developed, with heavy Moon and Venus mounts. The Lower Mars mount is developed as well, and the Apollo (ring) finger is long, too long. The thumb is of average length and possibly a little low-set with an average first phalange which bends backwards. The second phalange of the thumb is a little thick and quite long. The fingers are fairly straight with tapering, rounded ends. The Jupiter finger is quite low-set. There aren’t too many clear pictures of Saddam’s hand available on the net, however.

You can check out Saddam Hussein's hand photos here.

In Saddam Hussein’s case, there doesn’t appear to be a religious bent of mind. His hand in fact shows is a man who hungers for

The shy Queen Victoria

Queen Victoria line drawing sad
Queen Victoria ruled the UK and Ireland for 63 years, from 1838 to 1901. She was a notable monarch not only because of her long reign but also because plenty of changes took place in the country during her time – industrial, political and scientific. She also had the title of the Empress of India.

It was a pleasant surprise to find a bronze sculpture of her hands on the internet. This hand reading is based on this sculpture on the assumption that it is more or less accurate. You can check out the bronze sculpture here.

Not too many features of the hand are visible, just the major lines and the phalanges and to some extent the length of the fingers and thumb. She had long first phalanges, and a thumb of decent length with a good first (will) phalange and possibly a short Jupiter (index) finger. The headline is sloping and the curve is a balanced one. The heartline is straight and not too long and also without a fork. On the left hand, the heartline is different, more wavy, curvy. The head and lifelines are close together at the start. The lifeline, however, starts to move outwards pretty early.

Overall, the lines seem clear and dark and the Jupiter and Venus mounts are developed. She must have had other minor lines on her hand as well but the sculpture has not captured it. It is a good guess however that

The Hands of Dictators!

Is there such a thing as a typical dictator’s hand? There certainly isn’t a typical engineer’s hand or a doctor’s hand. Hands don't reveal professions because people with all kinds of temperaments populate a particular profession. There isn’t even a typical criminal’s hand because there are different types of crimes and different types of criminals!

When it comes to dictators’ hands, the more I study them, the more inclined I am to think that dictators do share some personality traits. Managers have different styles of managing but a dictator has just one style – authoritarian. I have read several hands of authoritarian leaders on this website, like Gaddafi, Morsi, Idi Amin, Hitler and Kim il-jong. So, what is similar about their hands?

Joe Biden the democrat and statesman

Joe Biden American flag
Joe Biden has the hands of a statesman. He has a largish hand, pronounced first and second knots on his fingers and long, fine lines along with a low-set thumb held a little apart. His fingers, though short rather than long, are not too short. His fingers are straight, except for the Jupiter (index) finger and the thumb is a balanced one with a slightly waisted second phalange and the first is bending backwards. The mounts of Venus and Moon are the most developed but the mounts of Jupiter and Lower Mars are good too.

The size of the hand matters. It is the size and shape of the hand within which the actual lines are to be interpreted. When the hand is large (relative to the body) it shows a thinking person. The developed knots add to the thoughtfulness. One cannot help but compare Joe Biden’s hand to Donald Trump’s hand, which is supposedly small. People with small hands tend to be more emotional and tend not to analyse or think too much. Small hands are not found on great leaders.

When it comes to measuring the size of hands, a hand can be considered small only if it is small relative to the height and size of the person. With experience, it is possible to guess whether the hand size is small, average or big. There are many articles available which tell you about the average hand size. Of course, a large hand by itself does not automatically mean that the person is

The hand reading of Xi Jinping, the Chinese President

Xi Jinping 2019China’s powerful President, Xi Jinping, has been criticised, particularly after the way in which China handled the Covid19 crisis. But the President's hands show that he is a compassionate leader, with a great love for his people.

His hands have developed mounts of Moon, Venus and Mars, particularly Lower Mars. The hand, squarish with a broad palm and short fingers, appears to be stiff. The fingers, on the shorter side, are straight, have short middle phalanges, good, slim first phalanges and thick third phalanges. Tips are conic, more so on of the Jupiter and Mercury fingers. The ring (Apollo) finger is a little too long and it’s possible that the index (Jupiter) finger is a little short. The heartline is dark, medium length and curved (which makes it long) but does not reach the Jupiter mount. The headline is straight and fine, fainter at the end, and overall not that strong.

These hand features tell us about a person who is down-to-earth and for whom

Was Nawaz Sharif a great Prime Minister?

Nawaz Sharif became the Prime Minister of Pakistan thrice. People loved him but how right was he for Pakistan?

If one had to estimate the profession of Nawaz Sharif from his hand, a man who was born into a business family and became the PM three times, it would be difficult to say that he was either a businessman or a politician, let alone a head of state. Yes, his hand shows that he is a good man, but do his hand say that he was prime ministerial material?

His hand, with its broad fingers, and a broad, fleshy palm has

Abraham Lincoln's hands reveal his true self

Much has been much written about Abraham Lincoln’s personality traits. His character has in fact been elevated to that of the perfect human being.
Do these lofty opinions of Lincoln's character match the signs on his hand?

The adjectives used to describe Abe Lincoln make him appear to be flawless. He was known to be sincere, simple, persistent, modest, guileless, humble, loving, compassionate, warm, forgiving, generous, fair, responsible, helpful, thoughtful and non-materialistic. And he was an independent thinker who was also energetic, hard-working, realistic,  straightforward, controlled, disciplined, cautious, ethical, intellectual and possessed integrity, wisdom and a sense of humour.

If he had any faults at all it was his introversion and his melancholic and detached personality. One cannot help but wonder how a person can be loving and warm and also introverted and detached? Has Abe Lincoln's personality become the stuff of myth and legend now that he has been gone for over 150 years?

Jawaharlal Nehru was not a weak leader

Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first Prime Minister, does not have an extraordinary hand but his hand shows a good mind, a strong will and a warmth of personality. There has been criticism about how he handled his job, particularly the 1962 skirmish with the Chinese.

What kind of a man was Nehru? Born into a wealthy, political family, he was catapulted into the position. Did he deserve it?

Nehru's hand is rather fleshy, with well-developed mounts of Venus and Moon, as well as the Jupiter mount. Possibly the Mercury mount is developed too, but with not too many photos of his hands on the net, could not confirm this. The Mars mounts are reasonably developed and the fingertips are rounded, and the Jupiter (index) finger is distinctly conic. Nehru’s fingers are evenly balanced in length, with slightly thick third phalanges and long first phalanges. His Mercury (little) finger is longish and slightly bent, and possibly the index finger is also bent a little. He has a strong,

Rodrigo Duterte's Hand Reading

Robert Duterte photo
If I hadn't known that these were the hands of the President of the Philippines, Robert Duterte, I would never have guessed it.

The lower portion of this hand is dominant, the thumb high-set and closely held (near the palm), the second phalange of the thumb is thick, the quadrangle (space between the head and heart lines) is narrow, and the headline is average. The Jupiter (index) and Mercury (pinky) fingers are pointed, a fairly unusual sign in a successful politician. And the Mercury (pinky) finger is long as well. The mounts are mostly well developed, particularly the Mount of Moon, and the Jupiter (index) finger is bent. When read together these signs do not paint a pretty picture.

This hand shows a personality that is impulsive, and idealistic to an extreme, but one cannot help but wonder about the depth of these ideals. The ideals that the owner of this hand holds are not always practical and doable. So finally, it's all about talk. There is also a certain coldness

Tayyip Erdoğan's hand reading

Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Turkey, is one of the most popular leaders Turkey has had. What does his hand reveal about his personality?

Some prominent features of his hand are his conic tipped fingers, large fleshy palm, strong mounts of Mars, Jupiter and Moon, a bent and slightly short Jupiter finger, strong Apollo finger with a well-developed third phalange, longish palm and shortish fingers, with a long, slightly sloping Headline and a low set Heartline.

From the hand, it is clear that idealism is strongly present in Tayyip Erdogan’s personality, and it can make him inflexible at times. There is also an element of superstitious behaviour. These are

Is Donald Trump a bigot?

Some people may love Donald Trump, the potential Republican nominee for the US President, but others call him a bigot and a racist. (Update: Donald Trump went on to become the President of the US.

This post is not about Trump’s chances of winning the Republican nomination, leave alone his chances of becoming the next President of the United States. This is about what his hands tell us. Is he really the racist bigot that he is accused of being?

Trump’s palms are broad, but the hands are small, and he has a thick palm, short fingers (some bent), long lines, and a supple, waisted thumb all of this tells us a story and a very revealing one! The mounts of Venus, Moon and Jupiter are heavily developed and the Mars mounts developed too, though a little less. The lifeline sweeps across the palm, the headline is gently sloping, and the heartline goes up in a curve, reaching the area in between the first two fingers.

Trump’s lines are quite good, and although fairly clear, they are not very dark. However, they do show capability, intelligence, and a good heart. It is not surprising that he is a businessman because not only is he smart and shrewd, he is aggressive, ambitious, and quite the go-getter. Other hand features show some not-so-desirable characteristics. His thumb is supple and conic, with a strong first phalange, and the heartline is a little too strong. His fingers are mostly bent, with the Jupiter (index finger) low-set and possibly a little short, and the Mercury (little) finger standing apart from the rest. The fingers have rounded tips.

His hand tells us that he is a very passionate, energetic and emotional man, and quite excitable and impulsive too. He is warm and giving and yes, and capable of compassion as well although he is likely to be ruled by the emotions and there is insecurity in the personality.

Donald Trump’s hands do not show him to be a narrow-minded bigot. On the contrary, his hands show

The hand of Evo Morales

Evo Morales picture
The hand of Evo Morales, the President of Bolivia, is astonishing for a Head of State and tells us of an unusual personality. Most world leaders have a strong need for power and control, possess high self-esteem, and feel driven to seek out leadership positions. Large thumbs are often found on these people. Morales has a very different hand for a world leader.

His hand shows him to be a simple and humble man although an aggressive and strong one. There is no greed for power for power’s sake. No manipulative tendencies, no egocentrism. There is some showmanship though,

Lee Kuan Yew - Hand Reading

Lee Kuan Yew picture
Lee Kuan Yew was the founder of Singapore and was known to be an incorruptible personality and a visionary.

He has an ideal hand in some respects: a large broad palm, fingers of medium length, mounts neither flat nor overdeveloped, well-etched long, balanced lines on a firm palm and a good, long low-set thumb to boot. All these signs point to a balanced character without personality quirks or eccentricities, a broad, progressive outlook, a strong purpose, and a clear head.

Lee Kuan has been criticized for being a dictator and curtailing freedom of speech. Where is this shown on his hand?

Actually, his hand does not reveal him to be of a dictatorial temperament, not in the sense that people
