How different are Andrew and Chris Cuomo?

Andrew Cuomo, the ex-governor of New York, has been in the news lately with sexual harassment allegations and unfortunately his brother Chris has been accused of inappropriate behaviour as well. Their personalities are however quite different as shown by their hands.

Andrew Cuomo’s hand shows a person who is passionate, at times volatile, and also quite impulsive. There is intensity and energy in the moment, the kind of intensity can be very useful when one is focused on a goal. Such people give their everything when they set their mind on something. The flip side is a difficulty in seeing the other side, and it can at times result in bullheadedness. Yes, the hand also shows warmth and

Jeon Jung-kook - a sweet and vulnerable persona

No doubt that Jeon Jung-kook has nice hands, with his slim fingers, a wide broad palm and a low-set thumb. He is the youngest member of the famous South Korean boy band – BTS – and from what one reads on the internet, he is probably the most popular of them all. What is it about his personality that makes him so popular? Hand reading can throw up some insights.

Jungkook's hand shows a pronounced Moon mount and well, the Venus mount is developed too. His heartline is low-set and dips down to touch the headline and the Mercury (pinkie/little) finger is held apart in many of the photos. Jungkook has a good Apollo (ring) finger, and it is probably the strongest finger on his hand. The first phalanges of the hand are long, significantly long, and the second phalanges are a good length too. The third phalanges are the shortest and slimmest.

The three main lines of any hand: the headline, the heartline and the lifeline are prominent. Unfortunately, I could not see either the Saturn (Fate) line or the Apollo (Sunline) on the hand

Hyun Bin – what is his personality like?

Hyun Bin (real name: Kim Tae-Pyung) is arguably the best-looking actor in South Korea, and talented too. He has been acting for over 15 years now, with a series of hits under his belt, the more recent one being the romance series, Crash Landing On You, streaming on Netflix currently.

His hand is a good one, with a broad palm, a bit fleshy, more so because of the well-developed mounts of Moon and Venus. His heart and head lines are balanced with each other, well etched. The headline is attached to the lifeline considerably at the beginning. The heartline has a wide fork at the end although the fork is not as dark and strong as the rest of the line. The fateline starts with a fork with one branch either attached to the lifeline or there is a line connecting the fateline and the lifeline.

His thumb is a little low-set, with a good balance of both the phalanges. Overall, Hyun Bin’s first phalanges are long and the second phalanges are average in length. The Saturn (middle) and Jupiter (first) fingers are a little

Takeru Satoh's hands reveal his talent

Takeru Satoh is known to be of a calm, humble, down-to-earth temperament. Do his hands prove that his personality is actually like that?

Takeru Satoh is a 32-year old Japanese actor, from a film industry that is one of the oldest in the world and the fourth largest in terms of the number of films. He is known for his leading roles in the Kamen Rider Den-O franchise and in the live-action Rurouni Kenshin films.

His hands have large, broad palms and fingers which are more long than short. The Apollo (ring) finger is dominant. Two fingers, the Saturn (middle) and Apollo (ring) fingers have spatulate tips though this is more pronounced on his left, passive hand. The first phalanges of his fingers are long and the thumb is a good length, with a normal length of the Will (first) phalange and the Logic (second) phalange.

The Saturn (middle) finger looks a little short as compared to the ring finger and interestingly, Takeru wears

Lee Min Ho's personality from his hands

Lee Min Ho, a famous actor from South Korea, has beautiful fingers, slim and tapering, with good first phalanges. The fingers aren't long as compared to his palm. The Jupiter (index) fingertip is conic, maybe even pointed, but the other fingers have conic or rounded tips. His fingers are straight, except perhaps his Saturn (middle finger). The Jupiter finger is low-set and also seems a little short as compared to the Saturn. Both his Apollo (ring) and Saturn fingers are of a good length.

Min Ho also has a large, fleshy palm, rectangular in shape and fine lines. His thumb is normal with balanced first and second phalanges, although it appears to be a little high-set. The mounts of Moon and Venus are very pronounced and dominate his palm.

The lines are not that clearly visible in the photos available on the net but from whatever little one can see, the headline starts high and straight but dips down into the Moon mount halfway through its length. The heartline is not too long. The lifeline is fainter in the last half. A second fateline starts from the Upper Mars mount.

Martin Scorsese – complex and brilliant

Taxi Driver was a classic
What did I expect to see from Martin Scorsese’s hands? I know that he is a brilliant movie director famous for dark themes and action films. I expected to find creative brilliance and a dark imagination. His hands did not disappoint.

He has a squarish hand with short fingers, and three of these are decidedly conic, maybe even a little pointed – the Mercury (little) and Jupiter (index)   fingers and the thumb. Scorsese has slightly thick fingers with pronounced third phalanges, shortish second phalanges, and a long, slim, first phalange of Apollo on a prominent finger. He has a long,   supple thumb with a long will (first) phalange. He has a fairly long, slightly curved heartline reaching the Jupiter mount and a medium length, slightly sloping headline which is likely forked. The most prominent mounts on his hands are the Moon, Jupiter, Venus and the Mercury mounts. That’s a lot of mounts to be well developed. The first phalange of his Apollo finger is long.

You can check out his hand photos here and here.

It’s all there. His creative brilliance is clearly etched on his hand and it’s not only seen in one place. The headline, the curve of the moon mount and his Apollo finger all point to it. But creativity of the genius kind is not a characteristic that can stand alone like an island,

Shiv Nadar's hands show a clear headed thinker

The most striking aspect about Shiv Nadar’s hands is his dark, deeply etched lines. There aren't too many of lines either. Also significant are his long Apollo (ring) and Mercury (little) fingers. Other hand features include a broad palm, well-developed mounts of Moon, Lower Mars, Jupiter and Venus and good first and second phalanges of the fingers. The thumb is a good length and the first and second phalanges are balanced. There is a good balance between the length of the fingers and the palm as well.

Shiv Nadar’s heart and head lines do not appear to be very long although they seem to have lighter extensions. Without seeing these clearly, it is difficult to draw conclusions about this. Nadar's headline is considerably tied to the lifeline. The Sun/Apollo line is not as prominent as the main lines, busting the myth that

The hands of Elon Musk

Elon Musk’s hands were not a surprise but it never fails to amaze me when a hand fits well into what is already known about the person. Yes, sometimes, hidden personality traits are brought up by the hand. Maybe that’s the case here too, at least to some extent, but largely this hand fits him. It’s a typical hand of a true inventor. However, his emotional self (as revealed by the hand) is not typical. There is a tendency to stereotype inventors as perhaps not people-oriented or with not so great social skills. Elon Musk is

The shy Queen Victoria

Queen Victoria ruled the UK and Ireland for 63 years, from 1838 to 1901. She was a notable monarch not only because of her long reign but also because plenty of changes took place in the country during her time – industrial, political and scientific. She also had the title of the Empress of India.

It was a pleasant surprise to find a bronze sculpture of her hands on the internet. This hand reading is based on this sculpture on the assumption that it is more or less accurate. You can check out the bronze sculpture here.

Not too many features of the hand are visible, just the major lines and the phalanges and to some extent the length of the fingers and thumb. She had long first phalanges, and a thumb of decent length with a good first (will) phalange and possibly a short Jupiter (index) finger. The headline is sloping and the curve is a balanced one. The heartline is straight and not too long and also without a fork. On the left hand, the heartline is different, more wavy, curvy. The head and lifelines are close together at the start. The lifeline, however, starts to move outwards pretty early.

Overall, the lines seem clear and dark and the Jupiter and Venus mounts are developed. She must have had other minor lines on her hand as well but the sculpture has not captured it. It is a good guess however that

The Hands of Dictators!

Is there such a thing as a typical dictator’s hand? There certainly isn’t a typical engineer’s hand or a doctor’s hand. Hands don't reveal professions because all kinds of people populate a particular profession. There isn’t even a typical criminal’s hand because there are different types of crimes.

But when it comes to dictators’ hands, the more I read them, the more I am inclined to think that dictators share some personality traits. Managers have different styles of managing but a dictator has just one style – authoritarian. I have read several hands of authoritarian leaders on this website, like that of Gaddafi, Morsi, Idi Amin, Hitler and Kim il-jong. So, what is similar about their hands?
