Hillary Clinton's hand does not show her to be an intellectual

I had expected Hillary Clinton’s hand to be that of an intellectual, knowing her academic background and splendid career. But she doesn't have that kind of hand, even though she is a very intelligent woman, and if one has to compare, she may be even more intelligent than Barack Obama. Yet, Barack Obama's hand shows him to be an intellectual, not Hillary Clinton's hand.

So, what really is intellectualism?

Answers.com defines the word intellectual as:
a. Of or relating to the intellect.
b. Rational rather than emotional.
The Encarta says:
a. Relating to or involving the mental processes of abstract thinking and reasoning rather than the emotions
b. Having a highly developed ability to think, reason, and understand, especially in combination with wide knowledge

Hillary’s hand
(check out a hand photo of hers here and here) tends to point to a person who is a little excitable, sensual, and even temperamental. Clinton's photograph which has been published below is a free photo.

Her hand is more fleshy than flat, with the Jupiter and Moon mounts well developed. The fingers are on the thicker side, especially the third phalanges. The first phalanges are limited in length and so are the second phalanges. The lines are long, and the thumb could possibly be a little high-set, though it's difficult to tell from photos. The balance of the thumb phalanges is normal though, with the will phalange shorter than the logic phalange, which is slightly waisted. Her headline is long but it is not as dark in the second half as it is in the first half, and it is also forked. No doubt she is a very capable woman, and as she grows older her heart will tend to have a greater sway. A true intellectual always allows reason and fact to dominate, but this is not so in her case. Analytical ability is limited.

She is a dominating type and likes power, although not to an extreme.
Aggression is present and so is pragmatism and in that sense, she has a good control over herself and her outward personality. It is quite likely that she is different inside from what she portrays. She is intelligent enough to understand what she needs to do, and she is determined enough to do it. There is diplomacy present as well and therefore, dominating as she is, she would not be boorish. She has a good dose of idealism, and there you have it…a woman who is determined to get things done for a cause higher than herself. She is result oriented, a doer, and as we all know, an achiever. And besides, she has a hands-on approach and would take the practical path.

Despite her strong emotions, she is practical above all else. She is able to see another point of view and also has an understanding of the broad issues, which makes her suitable for public office.

And she is a very ambitious woman. She seeks wealth and power, both, but as mentioned before, this trait is not present in any extreme manner.

She can be controlling and very independent, and despite manipulative behaviour, is more or less honest. Hillary has principles and will not like to do something she feels is wrong or harmful.

Hillary Clinton may not be that eloquent, but she has a sharp brain and is trustworthy and dependable. She is an organized person and cautious too. She has a different private and public persona.

Her aggressiveness and argumentativeness may not make a boatload of friends, but it must have done her good as a lawyer. Her hand also shows an element of stinginess. She is not a generous person, if one goes by the hand. On a superficial level, she would get along with a wide variety of people.

There have been some changes in her personality over the years, as can be seen from comparing her left (passive) and right (active) hands. What is noticeable is that her idealism decreased as she grew older, her aggressiveness has been tempered, and her penchant of doing things regardless of what other people think has been controlled. Also, although she was born with a certain idealism in love, this changed very soon, probably in her teen years. However, the stubbornness of reasoning remains to this day.

Considering she is so particular about her principles, one wonders why she should forgive her husband but the reason is that Hillary is not idealistic in love, being the kind who can accept her partner with his faults and not love him any less. And she is pragmatic. She can accept things and move on. She probably knocked her husband over the head in private and got all sorts of promises from him to behave in the future, but she is the type to stand by him, if he had wanted her to. It is not just out of a sense of loyalty or love, but also because she has a practical approach to life and a certain insecurity of the future.

She is by nature a happy person and can enjoy life, in fact, she likes pleasures and has a strong sex drive.

  2. Well, the people of America thought Obama was better and I think there are many reasons for that. I think that all of the African American population voted for Obama and also a section of the white voters. I think Obama has more personality and presence. And in my comparison we shall find out if he is really better!

  3. Great post!
Americans have really good political leaders.
It would be really interesting if you can do handreading of some other
US Presidents too. George W. Bush or Bill Clinton may be.
    Thanx.

  4. Yeah, maybe one of these days I will. And you are right, a better type of people enter politics there. We have great people too, but unfortunately they are not in politics. There is a huge difference in the hands of politicians in the US and in India.

  5. Her hand shows a practical woman whose head dominates her life. She is intelligent, and in matters of heart wise enough to take charge of herself. A simple woman with an unconventional hand, destined to be in the limelight. Kind at heart but herself, she is one of her kind. Her heart is in her head. She is a leader who knows what her followers want and is determined to achieve her targets. Indeed, a good mix of anima and animus.Truly, represents her times. She keeps improving with every experience. Physically, the age speaks; mentally she controls and surpasses the barriers of age. She takes care of Bill and is forgiving because they are meant for eachother. A strong single line of affection, that is her marriage and commitment.Hillary like her name is the hill amongst us. The role model and the Change Maker. Her hand is unique and symbolizes the cup of happiness and fortune. USA, you are lucky.Hillary will bring peace within and peace around.

  6. Hi Nita. I LOL'd over the statement that she knocked Bill over the head haha. Awesome reading. I have always found it surprising she never won the presidency. Am I correct in deducing she has more a military woman's hand? I also wonder if Hilary and Bill are exact opposites given the different her and her husband'a hands!

    1. This is such an old post and am glad you liked it. Sometimes when I re-read some of my old posts, I don't like them much! Not sure what you mean by "military" woman though. Also, I don't think I have examined Bill Clinton's hand. Maybe I will, one of these days!
